The DocAuto Server™ Platform is a unified tool set for creating, scheduling, managing, and executing jobs created and associated with the application’s Modules.  This platform provides two separate interfaces for job management and for job creation in order to separate the functions of building and scheduling jobs from the administrative functions of managing the large volume of jobs.

The DocAuto Server Platform was created with scalability in mind, the end result being a versatile and powerful platform consisting of a multi-tier architecture using state-of-the-art components from Microsoft, Apache, and other proven sources.  With the addition of the Generic Execute Module, DocAuto legacy application can be run on the DocAuto Server to provide better performance, scheduling, job chaining, and audit trails.

The DocAuto Server Platform includes three modules at no additional charge:  the Generic Execute Module, the Notification Module, and the System Module.  These modules do not need to be downloaded separately; they are built-in to the Platform installation package.  They do have their own User Guides and Job Configuration Guides, which can be found on their product pages.  To learn more about the modules, please click any of the included links.

The DocAuto Server Notification Module™ provides the capability to send E-Mail notifications to specific users based on results of queries against any data source. This module gives users the ability to be notified when specific events take place, provided that these events can be captured in the results of a standard query.

The DocAuto Server System Module™ allows for the creation of jobs that assist in monitoring and managing critical aspects of the DocAuto Server platform.

DocAuto software engineers realized early in the development phase for the platform that it would be beneficial to allow for the creation and management of internal system maintenance jobs. These jobs work directly on the DocAuto Server Platform - specifically as it relates to monitoring and managing the created logs. That realization led to the creation of this new module which is being made available on the platform and no additional cost to you.

This module gives you options to delete log files and job run history records based on job type, job status or age of job, thus ensuring that you are maximizing the use of database and other system resources while the platform is running. It also provides powerful job log monitoring and notification capabilities so that you can have the confidence that things are running smoothly across the platform even when you don't have the Server Administrator application running.

Watchdog Module™ for DocAuto Server lets you know what’s happening in WorkSite as it happens. This module helps prevent content theft, checks for unauthorized use of intellectual property, and provides you with an instant notification of suspicious, or desired, user activity at an organizational level.

Watchdog Module continuously monitors all document activities within any number of WorkSite servers and databases. Watchdog Module reports on and takes action if a specific activity threshold is met and can instantly notify any combination of users or distribution groups using SMTP, SMS, or RSS about these monitored activities. The module can even disable a user’s WorkSite account if necessary. Business rules can be easily incorporated into a Watchdog configuration using data from any external data source.

Folder Manager for Exchange Module is part of DocAuto’s comprehensive E-mail Management Suite for WorkSite.  This Module automatically creates “pseudo matter-centric” filing folders based on the users’ activity in WorkSite or any other external data source.  These folders are placed directly in the users’ Outlook mailbox and then “mapped” to an associated WorkSite destination

WorkSpace or folder. Users can instantly move messages or entire folder structures from their inbox, other folders, or PST files into these filing folders using any interface including Outlook, Outlook Web Access, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android, and many others.  This feature makes filing fast and easy, and gives users total control over which content is filed, where it’s filed, and when it’s filed.

Folder Manager Module also creates and removes native Outlook Categories for each individual user’s mailbox.  These Categories can be used to bulk tag messages for filing to WorkSite, using completely native Outlook capabilities, allowing the use of these features on a wide range of mobile devices and web-based platforms, all with no additional software on the device.

The Generic Execute Module, or “GEM™”, is an adapter module that allows just about any application to be run within the DocAuto Server Platform in order to utilize the server’s scheduling, job chaining, and audit trail capabilities. GEM can also be used with legacy DocAuto applications in order to allow the user to migrate to the architecture of the DocAuto Server Platform

at their own pace. This gives the user the advantage of the new features and functionality of the DocAuto platform, while still using the jobs and configurations of legacy DocAuto products.

The Refiling Module™ for WorkSite replaces our legacy Refiling Server and Refiling Server Enterprise application with a DocAuto Server Module with even more features and capabilities than before. The Refiling Module takes refiling out of the hands of end-users and completely eliminates user-driven or client-side refiling of document metadata and/or security.
