Chief Executive Officer
Founder of DocAuto, Inc., David has over 25 years’ experience in the legal technology field and he is recognized as an expert on document management technology. Prior to founding DocAuto, he was a Senior Practice Systems consultant at TechLaw Automation Partners. He was also one of the original staff members at the Center for Law and Computing at Chicago-Kent College of Law, and Director of Development at the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction/Legal Education Automation Project, where software he developed won the Weston Vernon Jr. NCAIR Award for Curriculum Innovation in Law. David co-authored a Syracuse Law Review article with Marc Lauritsen, then of Harvard Law School, and has written many other articles and whitepapers on best-practices and guidelines for Matter-Centric system design, the convergence of records management and document management, and e-mail management. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Chicago and is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Chief Operating Officer
Co-Founder of DocAuto, Inc., Lauren has more than 15 years of experience in the legal technology field. Prior to founding DocAuto, she was a practicing attorney and her experience working in law firms of all sizes helped form the vision of DocAuto. Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University of Chicago and she is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law. Lauren has been active in many charitable organizations for over 10 years. Most recently, she has served as the Board Chair on the Board of Trustees of Georgia Shakespeare, and she currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the Alliance Theatre and the Dave Nee Foundation, as well as being a member of the President's Advisory Council at Oglethorpe University. In addition she is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2013.

Vice President of Operations & Strategy
David has over 25 years of information technology experience, and spent over 7 years as the Director of Technology at Jenner and Block LLP, a prestigious AMLaw 100 firm based in Chicago, Illinois. For the past 6 years Mr. Pilling has leveraged his expertise to provide consulting services through thought leadership to several AMLaw 100 law firms by working closely with senior firm management to identify and improve upon the strategic value of their technology. Mr. Pilling’s international technology expertise includes enterprise and life-cyclecontent management, application development, knowledge management, strategic technology planning, business process management, workflow improvement, and project management. Mr. Pilling is a member of ILTA, an author in ILTA publication and a frequent presenter at many legal technology industry events.

Director of Software Development
Mark has over 20 years of software engineering experience and has directed teams of software developers, quality assurance analysts, subject matter experts and project managers generating innovative products and web applications for Fortune 500 as well as smaller B2B and B2C firms. He has experience in building and transforming teams and organizations from traditional software development methods into Agile frameworks. Mark is a Certified ScrumMaster and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.

Director of Marketing
Erin has over 10 years of experience working for B2B companies and over 6 years' experience working in the marketing field. Since joining DocAuto, Erin has grown into a leadership position with the company. As Director of Marketing, Erin manages the efforts of the DocAuto Marketing Team and coordinates the strategic development of all Marketing communications and outlets. She also currently heads the DocAuto Advisory Committee. Prior to DocAuto, Erin has used her marketing and small business experience to help local artists establish an online presence for their brands. Erin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Kennesaw State University and is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Director of Professional Services
Joel Evans has over 25 years of technology management experience in the legal and corporate industries and spent over nine years as the Director of Technology at an AMLaw Top 200 Firm. Joel’s professional background includes key technology delivery positions with leading legal solution vendors and working with legal consulting firms to provide engagement and technology consulting. Joel also served in a management role for a premier application performance vendor and was responsible for technology delivery to Fortune 500 corporations, large law firms over a 12 state region, and the Federal Government. As the Director of Professional Services, Joel is responsible for the delivery of product and consulting engagements.
